EXOTIC SPECIES
Aren't hermit crabs just fabulous critters? While all the attention was on cats, dogs and other animals, hermit crabs from as far away as New Guinea were quietly landing on American shores! It's a crustacean invasion!
To help you identify what sort of land hermit crab you own, I have created one file for each of the four land hermit crab species in the United States. The first steps are easy, you don't even have to coax the crab out of its shell for them. Just click on the picture that closest resembles your pet hermit crab.
If its large claw looks like one of the ones featured here, click on the picture to go to an information page about that species.
